Heart ailments and Horoscope

According to 'Kala Purush Thathva' the twelve signs of the zodiac ranging from Aries to Pisces represents parts of the human body from Head to Foot. For example Aries represents the head and the organs in head.

The discussion here is Heart, the important organ in human body. How can you identify the ailments to heart and the cure? Heart is represented by the sign, Cancer (Kadakam). So look at this sign to predict the health of your heart.

If planet Saturn is placed at Cancer, it is an indication that the native will suffer from some kind of heart ailment. I have found this to be true with some real time examples. My friend (a computer technician) have Saturn in cancer and he underwent coronary angioplasty two years ago. In his case the disease was severe and he underwent immediate surgery. My brother too have Saturn in cancer and he too had some complications last year. But the doctor ruled out any significant threat. In essence an afflicted / badly posited Saturn will cause troubles. If the Saturn is posited and is benefic to ascendant (lagna) it won't do harm, is my opinion.

Cancer and Saturn are not definitive indication of heart disease. There may some other factor to be considered. The karaka planet, the lagna, the 6th house indicating disease and other factors like planetary aspects and running dasa to accurately predict When Where and How a person will fall ill. Saturn Transit 2009 (Sani peyarchi 2009)

According to 'Thirukanitha panchangam' on 09th September, 2009 at 10:34 pm, Saturn (Saneeswar) changes sign in the zodiac, enters Virgo from Leo sign. This ‘rashi pravesh’ is considered significant in astrology as it will bring about major changes in lives of individuals. Saturn (sani) stays in a rashi (sign) for about two and half years. Benefits of Sani Peyarchi changes from according to their birth rashi (moon sign).

According to ‘Vakiya Panchangam’ (The oldest almanac conceived by ancient Indian, Tamil Jyotish experts) Virodhi Year (Tamil), Puratasi Month, 10th Saturday (26th august, 2009) at 3.22 PM saneeshwar (lord Saturn) enters kanya rashi (sign libra), exactly Uthiram 2nd quarter.

You may have noticed the difference of time in Thirukanitha and Vakiya method. There is about 17 days of difference between the two methods. However it is not significant as Saturn stays for about 2.5 years in a sign and its effect will be visible only after 3-4 months after entering a rashi.

In general Saturn is considered and inauspicious, evil and bad planet. That is not entirely true for all. This kavasam / mantra of planet lord saneeswaran is useful to reduce the bad effects of this planet during 7.5 sani (elarai naattu sani), Gantaka sani, Ashtama sani.
